Thanks to an agreement with the shipping companies, they can offer discounts on regular fares.
Ships: The closest port is Porto Torres (ships arrive from Genoa), but it may be much more convenient to disembark at Olbia (ships depart daily, both day and night: they arrive from Civitavecchia, Livorno, and Genoa) or Golfo Aranci (ships arrive from Livorno), and reach your hotel in about an hour by highway. There are countless travel options: to choose schedules and prices, you can visit the individual shipping companies’ websites, but before purchasing your ticket, contact the agency to find out about the discounted prices they offer!
Air: Alghero Airport is just a few kilometers from the hotels (both domestic and international flights arrive there) and a round-trip airport/hotel transfer service is available. However, Olbia Airport is much better served by international flights, and Cagliari offers a wide range of domestic and international flights. For those arriving in Olbia and/or Cagliari, you must contact the GiroSardegna organization to obtain the special-rate transfer. In any case, if you’re arriving by plane, it may be worth renting a car at the airport and keeping it for a week.
