The “Classic” option is the core of the “30th GiroSardegna” event!
The “Classic” race is an exact recreation of the event that has been held with great success for three decades, and ALL of its features are reproduced in the manner that has made it famous worldwide: 6 stages with two routes (GranGiro and MedioGiro); each day, prizes are awarded to the top three finishers (men and women) on both routes, and the leaders of the general classifications wear the Yellow Jersey (GranGiro) and Pink Jersey (MedioGiro).Nel 2026 chi sceglie di iscriversi alla gara su strada “Classic” lo fa seguendo regole e classifiche dell’Ente italiano sapendo che alla gara partecipano unicamente atleti/e delle categorie amatoriali.
In 2026, those who choose to register for the “Classic” road race will do so according to the rules and rankings of the Italian Cycling Authority, knowing that only amateur athletes will participate. “Classic” registration must be completed by February 28, 2026, online at www.girosardegna.it or with a paper individual/group form.
PLEASE NOTE: By April 25, participants must have a valid cycling license (Italian or foreign) and a valid competitive medical certificate. Those who are not members of a sports club can apply to join the ASD Mare e Monti, the organization organizing the event, by submitting a valid medical certificate by April 16, 2026.
