The “Tour” is the NON-competitive route of the GiroSardegna Event.
Participants registered for the “Tour” ride the Green Route: these are short, medium-distance stages with very little difficulty
You can take part in the “Tour” EVEN WITHOUT being a member of a sports club: it is enough to sign the registration form with the waiver. Cyclists with an assisted bike or an electric bike can also register for the “Tour”. “Tour” participants pay a lower fee while having the same rights as the competitive riders (personalized number, refreshments, gadgets, prize draws, etc.); each day they are free to choose the route they prefer (Green, Red and Blue), naturally without taking part in the race rankings. Each day a “group” start is indicated, together with the Guides, but each cyclist is in any case free to ride when, how and with whomever they wish.
A “GiroSardegna” returning to Alghero couldn’t be without a special “Tour”, which is why I wanted to create an absolutely extraordinary week that will show everything there is to see in that splendid part of Sardinia. Naturally the star of the show will be the sea, which has created remarkable beauty in Alghero.Remember that you can take part in the “Tour” in complete freedom (… in a group with our Guides; alone, following the route description; riding the competitors’ roads; etc.) and with any mechanical means (…racing bike, city bike, MTB or assisted bike!) because what matters is “being there”, immersing yourself in the spirit of a cycling holiday without the worry of the rankings.
