Participation Fees GiroSardegna CLASSIC

Six stages, two routes, one race: every day a finish line, a ranking, a jersey to defend. From April 25th to 30th, 2027, in Alghero.

You can join by paying the full race fee (+ any hotel fee and supplements), or with a deposit of € 300 per person: the balance is due by February 28, 2027.

The fee includes registration for the races from April 25th to May 1st, 2027, gadgets (technical “GiroSardegna” t-shirt), refreshments, timing, medical/mechanical assistance, broom wagon, prizes and prize draws, etc.

Logistics managed directly by the cyclist (local cyclists, campers, campsites, private homes, etc.). Same participation fee as the hotel option.

Discounts and deposit

Children: ages 0–2 free, ages 3–12 50% discount (at both hotels).

Deposit: you can join by paying € 300 per person; the balance is due by February 28, 2027.

Hotel prices: valid for registrations by December 31, 2026 — after that date prices increase by € 20 per day.

Tourist tax: for 4- and 5-star hotels the cost is € 4.00 per person/day (the cost for 2027 will be announced later), payable at reception at both hotels.

Room and meals: accommodation in a double/triple room, full board with drinks (water and wine) included at meals; rooms are assigned until sold out, strictly following the registration date.

Pets: allowed at both hotels, to be declared at registration (at the Carlos V° with an additional daily fee).

Airport transfers: Alghero – with bike € 30.00, without bike € 20.00; Olbia – with bike € 80.00, without bike € 70.00; Cagliari – with bike € 100.00, without bike € 90.00. For transfers from Olbia and Cagliari, please contact the organizers to check availability.

How to pay

Online registration: fill out the form on the website and pay by credit card (no receipt needs to be sent) or by bank transfer, then send a copy of the receipt by email.

Paper registration: fill out the form with the participants’ details and send it together with the payment receipt by email.

PLEASE NOTE: to mark in a fitting way the 30th edition of the “GiroSardegna” event, athletes who reside in Sardinia and are members of a Sardinian sports club may exceptionally benefit from free race registration and can register by paying only €20.00 (for federation fees and insurance costs) regardless of the date on which the registration is made

Hotel Fees

The hotels can only be booked through the GiroSardegna Organization.

In all hotels, the municipal tourist tax (€0.50 per person per day) must be paid at reception.

The hotels do not accept pets, but for the GiroSardegna an exception will be made by reporting their presence in advance

Below are the prices for the individual hotels (per person/day, full board):

Hotel Carlos V° & Spa***** – Garden View Rooms: Euro 150.00 (registrations by 31/12/2026) / Euro 170.00 (from 01/01/2027) – Sea View Rooms: Euro 175.00 (by 31/12/2026) / Euro 195.00 (from 01/01/2027) – Single supplement: Euro 70.00/day
Hotel Corte Rosada Resort**** – Euro 110.00 (registrations by 31/12/2026) / Euro 130.00 (from 01/01/2027) – Single supplement: Euro 60.00/day

Accommodation is in double/triple rooms with exclusively full board with beverages–water/wine: rooms are assigned until sold out following strictly the registration date!

Possible supplements:

transfer from Cagliari airport: Euro 50.00 with bike – Euro 40.00 without bike each way, outbound and the same again for the return (costs valid for transfers of at least three people – people travelling alone will be grouped with other requesters)
transfer from Olbia/Alghero airport: Euro 100.00 with bike – Euro 80.00 without bike outbound and the same again for the return (costs valid for transfers of at least 5 people – people travelling alone will be grouped with other requesters)
PLEASE NOTE: for transfers from Olbia and Alghero you must contact the Organization to check availability.

CANCELLATION PENALTIES:

in case of cancellation notified by 28/02/26, a fee of Euro 50.00 will be retained and everything else paid will be refunded; in case of cancellation within 10 days of the start date, Euro 150.00 will be retained. No refund will be given for cancellations notified after that.

NAME CHANGE PENALTY:
Euro 50.00 – Name changes are permitted up to 10 days before the start date

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:

February 28th, 2027 (after that date, only registrations for spots vacated by cancellations will be accepted)
