The “Classic” race is the exact re-proposal of the event that has been held for three decades with great success, and ALL of
its characteristics are offered again in the way that made it famous around the world: 6 stages with two routes
(GranGiro and MedioGiro); every day the first three finishers (Men and Women) on the two routes receive awards, and the leaders
of the overall rankings wear the Yellow Jersey (GranGiro) and the Pink Jersey (MedioGiro).
In 2027, whoever chooses to register for the “Classic” road race does so following the rules and rankings of the Italian federation,
knowing that only athletes from the amateur categories take part in the race.
The “Classic” registration is free and individual: it must be made by 28/02/2027 online on the website
www.girosardegna.it or with an individual/group paper form.
PLEASE NOTE: On April 25th the registered rider must hold a cycling membership card (Italian or foreign) and
have a valid competitive medical certificate. Those who are not members of a sports club can ask to join
the ASD Mare e Monti, which organizes the event, by sending a suitable medical certificate by 14/04/2027.
